I am a pulmonologist and critical care physician at Massachusetts General Hospital, an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, and a federally-funded health services researcher at MGH and the HMS Department of Health Care Policy. I perform large database research using econometric methods, focusing on the use of natural experiments to study physician behavior, resource utilization, and health care policy, with special interest in the intensive care unit. Through my work, I hope to find opportunities to create higher value and more equitable health care for everyone.
